Why was my order cancelled?

Question: Why was my order cancelled? Don't you have the item? It's listed on the site. Isn't that a lack of planning on your store's part?

Unfortunately, we may on occasion have to cancel an order that has been placed due to several reasons, some of those being:
  • You requested overnight shipping on an item that states that it requires a production period of up to ... weeks to complete. On these items, overnight shipping is not an option because we have to allow the designer time to make the item. Sometimes, there may be a chance that the designer has one in stock - in that case it will certainly be shipped out immediately, but please be sure to plan accordingly and to also read the entire description.
  • You chose the wrong shipping method and we cannot get ahold of you to fix the mistake. If you are not in the continental United States, choosing UPS Ground as the shipping method is not a valid option and we will have to cancel your order if you fail to respond to our emails. Ground shipping is also not available for APO/FPO addresses, those in Hawaii and Alaska and also those in Canada and Mexico. Please choose the appropriate air or international shipping method for your area.
  • You ordered a bridesmaid or wedding dress and did not state a wear date. It is VERY important on these items that you state your wear date. We also need a wear date on dresses ordered for prom so that we can be sure that there is available stock with our designers. This ensures that you will be guranteed your item in time for your event.

    All colors/sizes are listed on the appropriate description page for each item offered on our site. This does not guarantee that this dress is in stock in every color/size. Since we order directly from the designers, the availability of the items listed change literally every hour. It is quite a task for our designers to keep up with this and occasionally there may be times that we are unaware that a designer has run out of an item. We cannot be held responsible for items that have sold out or are no longer being cut by the designers that we carry. Their inventory and style/size availability changes continually and they do not always inform their retailers of these changes. This does not mean that there is a lack of planning on our store's part in any way, shape or form. Prom and pageant season is an extremely busy time of the year and we cannot be expected to know exactly what each designer is thinking at every second of the day. It is also to be expected that as we are not the only retailers selling a particular designer and that there may be a chance that something sells out before you place your order. We update our site at least twice a week, but there is always a chance that certain styles, colors or sizes are no longer available at the time that you place your order.
